Ranchi: Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) Junior Engineer candidates are on hunger strike since February 16 demanding the release of examination results. On the fourth day of the fast, the candidates are expressing their protest by taking out the bier of JSSC. Not only this, the candidates have also shaved their heads.
The students sitting on hunger strike say what is our fault? We prepare and give the exam. They said that once due to question paper leak and second time due to local policy, the exam was cancelled. This time the exam was conducted properly. But JSSC is not taking it seriously. The Commission is playing with our future.
The candidates have demanded release of the exam results as soon as possible. Actually, JSSC had conducted the Junior Engineer examination four months ago. But the Commission has not yet released the result of the examination. The students met the concerned officials several times and demanded the release of the exam results. But every time only assurance was given to the candidates.
Even before this, JSSC had conducted the Junior Engineer examination twice. And once it got cancelled due to different karma, it got cured. Junior Engineer candidates have been sitting on the answer sheet since 16th February regarding their demands. On the fourth day of the answer sheet, they protested by decorating the JSSC bier.
