Shilpa Manjunath Says Fitness Is Now About Enjoying the Journey, Not Just the Gym

Chennai: Actress Shilpa Manjunath has revealed that her outlook on fitness has undergone a significant transformation, saying she now focuses on enjoying the journey rather than spending every day in the gym.

Sharing a workout video on Instagram, the actress said there was a time when she trained all seven days a week. However, she is now exploring different forms of exercise while maintaining an active lifestyle.

“Lately, my approach to fitness has changed. There was a time when I was in the gym all seven days of the week. Now, I’m in a phase where I want to experiment, have fun, and enjoy the journey while staying fit,” she wrote.

Shilpa said fitness is no longer limited to lifting weights or chasing numbers on the weighing scale. Instead, she believes in moving her body in different ways, trying new activities and finding happiness in staying active.

Despite embracing new forms of exercise, she said weight training and yoga remain the foundation of her fitness routine, helping her stay strong, balanced and grounded.

“Fitness should evolve with you and right now, this version feels the happiest,” she added.

Last week, the actress had expressed gratitude to her Pilates trainer for motivating her to become stronger every day. In an Instagram post, she wrote that strong women build not just their bodies but also discipline, confidence and resilience.

On the professional front, Shilpa will next be seen in the courtroom drama Sathyavan Savithiri, directed by Praveen S Vijay. The film stars Keerthy Suresh and Mysskin in lead roles and is scheduled for a worldwide release on July 24.

According to sources associated with the film, the story revolves around two lawyers played by Keerthy Suresh and Mysskin. Mysskin portrays Keerthy’s senior advocate, whose decision to defend alleged wrongdoers in a case leads to a conflict that changes the course of her life.

The film is jointly produced by Zee Studios and Drumsticks Productions. It features cinematography by Arul Vincent, music by Sam C. S. and editing by Prasanna G K.
