Sahebganj: Rural Development Minister Alamgir Aalam on Thursday said that the state government is making an assessment of the losses caused by cyclone Yaas and will also provide relief for the damage caused to life and property.
He said that the state government is committed to both saving life and livelihood and is working to create employment for the people. He said that for the migrant workers who had returned from the big cities they were provided work under Mnrega.
He said that since the rainy season is approaching the state government is working to execute such a scheme so that people can find work during Monsoon also. The Minister said that the government is also making an assessment of the losses caused due to the Gumani river and soon the state government will take a decision over compensation.
Aalamgir Aalam said that though Pakur and Sahebganj were getting full load power but unfortunately in the rural areas the power supply was not proper and the officials have been instructed to sort out the issues.
