Doctors of Medanta Gurugram will provide consultation to patients in OPD in Jharkhand

Ranchi: With the increasing population of the country, the number of patients of uro-oncology (prostate, kidney and bladder cancer) is also increasing. In view of these problems, Dr. Gopal Sharma, consultant of uro-oncology and robotic surgery of Medanta Hospital, Gurugram, is going to start OPD service in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand.

During the press conference held at the Press Club, Dr. Gopal said that due to the lack of uro-oncology and robotic surgery in Jharkhand, a large number of patients go to big cities for treatment. In such a situation, OPD service is going to be started on the last Monday of every month in Ranchi and Jamshedpur, the capital of Jharkhand.

Dr. Gopal said that patients who require robotic surgery will be taken to Medanta Gurugram for treatment. He said that robotic surgery costs more than open surgery, but with this method the patients do not face much problem and they recover soon. There is very little bleeding in this. The patient also feels less pain. There is also a risk of infection. The patient does not have to stay in the hospital for long. Patients soon return to their work.

Dr. Gagan Gautam, Vice Chairman of the Department of Uro-Oncology and Robotic Surgery, Medanta Gurugram, said that the field of medicine is becoming advanced. In this regard, the risk to life due to robotic surgery methods is very less.
