Ranchi: All schools in Jharkhand will operate on their old timings from May 13. The School Education and Literacy Department has issued an order regarding this. The department has taken this decision in view of climate change.
In the order issued, it has been said that classes above class KG in government, non-government aided/unaided (including minority) and all private schools running in the state of Jharkhand will be conducted at their predetermined time from May 13.
Due to extreme heat and heat wave in the state from April 29, classes from class KG to class 08 in all the schools running in the state were postponed till further orders. At the same time, guidelines were issued to conduct classes above class 9 from 7 am to 11:30 am.
