Campaigning for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections to end on Saturday, voting on May 13

Ranchi:  The sound of campaigning for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha will stop on Saturday. The candidates will make their final push by 5 pm on May 11. On May 12, candidates will be able to do door to door campaign.

In the fourth phase in Jharkhand, elections are to be held in four Lok Sabha constituencies of Singhbhum, Lohardaga, Khunti and Palamu. There are 45 candidates in the fray from these four Lok Sabha seats. There are 14 candidates from Singhbhum, 15 from Lohardaga, 9 from Palamu and 7 from Khunti.

On Friday, the Chief Electoral Officer informed in the press conference at Nirvachan Bhawan that election related material will be dispatched from Saturday. Polling personnel and EVMs will also be sent to their designated polling centers from Saturday. Ravi Kumar said that 12 nominations were received from Jharkhand on Friday for the seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections.

So far, nominations have been made from 18 candidates from three Lok Sabha constituencies Rajmahal, Godda and Dumka. Two nominations were made from the palace on Friday. Till now 5 candidates have nominated there. There were 7 nominations from Godda. So far 10 candidates have filed nominations there. Nomination account has been opened in Dumka itself. A total of 3 candidates have filed nominations from Dumka.
