Steps taken to preserve and promote rich tribal and regional languages – CM Champai Soren

East Singhbhum: Chief Minister Champai Soren said that the foundation stone of a degree college has been laid by the state government in Potka area of East Singhbhum district. Certainly, in the coming days, higher education studies will be started in this degree college. Students of this area will no longer need to go to Jamshedpur or other cities to get higher education. His government is continuously making efforts to provide quality education to the children of all sections of the community including tribals, indigenous people, farmers, labourers, backward classes and minorities of the state.

Chief Minister Champai Soren said these things while addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of Degree College at Potka in East Singhbhum district. The Chief Minister said that for the development and promotion of the rich tribal and regional languages of the state, studies in these languages will now start from primary schools itself. Bell based teachers of tribal languages including Santali, Mundari, Oraon will be appointed soon. It is the priority of his government to start teaching Bengali and Oriya languages from primary schools in the state.

Chief Minister Champai Soren said that in the modern era, it is very important to provide quality education to the young generation of the state and the students studying in schools. The condition and direction of the state will change only when the children here get better education and hold senior positions including doctors, engineers, lawyers, officers. The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is a state full of mineral resources. Only when the young generation of Jharkhand becomes competent through education, the mineral resources here can be used in the public interest and the interest of the state.

The Chief Minister said that this state is known as a rich state but the people here live below the poverty line. When the children here pass matriculation, then due to the poor financial condition of the family, their family members ask them to leave their studies and take up private jobs or labor work. Lack of money for higher education becomes a curse for the promising students, to change this situation their government is helping the students through the Guruji Credit Card Scheme. Under this scheme, education loans are being provided as per the need for higher education degree.

The Chief Minister said that his government is giving 100% scholarship to the children of other communities including tribals and indigenous people who want to study from educational institutions established abroad, an opportunity to study in other countries. Chief Minister Champai Soren said that his government is working with commitment at every level of the education system in the state.

The Chief Minister said that the previous governments had closed 5 thousand government schools running in rural areas within the state. Due to the closure of primary schools, children of all sections of the community including tribals, natives, poor, labourers, farmers were deprived of primary education. The Chief Minister said that his government is determined to strengthen the education system of the state. To improve the education system and bring positive changes, the government schools run in the state are being converted into excellent schools and model schools. Now the children of the state will also be able to get free quality education in these excellent schools on the lines of private schools.

The Chief Minister said that his government has also increased the scholarship amount for students studying in schools by three times. The Chief Minister said that his government is continuously making efforts to strengthen the social, economic and educational system of the state. The Chief Minister said that his government is continuously working to strengthen and strengthen the basic systems in the state. The Chief Minister said that gold, uranium, copper, iron, stone, coal and other mineral resources are found in abundance in Jharkhand, yet the people here are forced to live in poverty.

The Chief Minister said that his government will not only provide three-room permanent houses to the 8 lakh eligible families deprived of prime housing but also 20 lakh eligible houseless families of the state under the Abua Awas Yojana.  The Abua Housing Scheme was conceived under the leadership of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren. We are implementing this ambitious plan of Hemant ji on the ground. After the coming 3 months, the state government will provide the benefits of Abua Housing Scheme to 9 lakh families. It is the commitment of his government that no family should now be forced to live in huts or kutcha houses.

The Chief Minister said that his government will provide 125 units of electricity free of cost to the people of the state. Free electricity meters will be installed at the homes of all consumers. Discrepancies related to electricity bills will also be rectified.
