Police stopped Panchayat volunteers going to surround the assembly

Ranchi: Under the banner of Panchayat Swayamsevak Sangh, thousands of employees from all over the state came to lay siege to the Vidhan Sabha on Friday with five-point demands. Police stopped them near Sai Mandir gate before going towards Vidhansabha from Mausi Bari Maidan. A large number of men and women soldiers were deployed there.

Panchayat Swayam Sevak Sangh leader Manoj Yadav said that the government makes us do all the work, but does not give the right salary in return. The government had promised to fulfill all the demands. State President of Panchayat Swayam Sevak Chandradeep Kumar said that the promise was made before the elections. But even after four years, the Panchayat Swayam Sevaks neither got honorarium nor were they confirmed.

For 20 days, we kept asking for time to have a conversation with the CM. Thousands of panchayat volunteers from all over the state have come to surround the assembly. If the talks with the CM are not held in 10 days, then the government will have to pay dearly for its promises in the 2024 elections.
