Ranchi, Mar 13: The Jharkhand Government on Tuesday approved a
proposal to set seven degree colleges in the state with an investment
of Rs 110.38 crore.
A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state
cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the
project building here. The government has decided to set up degree
level colleges in such assembly areas of the state which do not have
any constituent or affiliate colleges. The cost of construction of
each college has been estimated to be about Rs 15.76 crore.
Further it was also decided that under state scheme in the year
2017-18 a 30 bed community health care center would be set up in
Pathna of Sahibganj district at a cost of Rs 5.12 crore. It was
decided that the salary of the than chairman, vice chairman and
members of the dissolved Jharkhand State Child Labour Commission would
be approved. The cabinet also gave approval from retrospective effect
to the notification under Jharkhand Goods and Services Tax Regulations
2017. It was also decided to approve promotion to different teaching
and faculty posts in MGM Jamshedpur and Patliputra Medical College
Dhanbad.
In another key decision the cabinet also approved the draft ordinance
prepared by the Higher and Technical education department for
determining the education fee and admission procedure in private and
government Bed colleges in the state.
It was decided to give services extension to the teaching and other
teaching staffs appointed in world bank aided polytechnic colleges of
the state and also their salary would be determined as per the sixth
pay commission. It was also decided that a land of 0.115 acres would
be handed over to national waterways authority to build approach road
for IWTT at a cost of Rs 1,76,579 rupee.
A proposal to make 13 posts at the Fisheries Farmer Training Center
established under the agriculture and animal husbandry department
would be made permanent during fiscal 2017-18. The cabinet also
approved a proposal to relieve the than BDO of Palkot Gumla Satish
Kumar , a JPSC officer of second batch from his post.
In another key decision the state government decided to bring down the
examination fee paid for obtaining environmental clearance for minor
minerals in the state depending on the size of land involved however
that existing fee for sand minning has been kept unchanged.
