‘Happy Curriculum’ implemented for model schools, Preparations strengthened to make children smart

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has understood in detail the level of education in Jharkhand as a result of which there has been a constant attempt to overcome the problem of early dropout by children in government schools and to establish education at the quality levels of private schools. In this context, Happy Curriculum has been implemented to make children connect with society at an emotional level as well as to understand their responsibility towards it.

On the other hand, at the district level, the basic infrastructure of 80 model schools is being completed. The construction work of the model school will also be completed by December 2022. The process of tender and the construction of the basic infrastructure of the remaining 325 model schools will be completed soon. In order to develop children’s ability to speak English the support of organizations working in this field and NCERT, NEIP will be taken. Language labs, as well as spoken English courses, will be prepared and conducted in schools. The government has given its approval for this.

The government, which has been making relentless efforts to realize the dream of a model school, has identified principals and teachers from 80 model schools of the first phase and from 325 model schools in the second phase. All of them are being given NISHTHA training which stands for National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement, resulting in children getting a quality education. In order to develop the competence and leadership potential of the principals to lead the school operations, the need for training has been assessed by IIM Ranchi. Various types of training related to education will be given to them by IIM.

The state government has started the process of the selection of the institute that will provide the training. The process of technical tender for this has been completed. The process of a financial bid is pending. In order to assess the functioning of the model school from time to time, the process of monitoring and its continuous development is going on, along with the process of selection of the institute.
