CM Hemant Soren handed over appointment letters to 827 teachers, said – teachers play an important role in shaping the future of children

Ranchi: The process of large-scale appointments is going on in the state. Appointments have been made in many departments and the recruitment process is going on for many posts. This trend will continue further also.

In this connection, appointment letters are being distributed among you today. It is expected from you that as a teacher, you will discharge your responsibilities with full dedication in shaping the future of children and in the development of the state.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren was addressing the teacher appointment letter distribution ceremony organized at Dr. Ramdayal Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi on Monday. On this occasion, he symbolically presented appointment letters to 24 teachers out of 827 graduate trained teachers selected for secondary schools.

The Chief Minister said that it has been more than two decades since Jharkhand was formed as a separate state, but the appointment rules could never be made. Because of this, whatever appointments were made earlier, they were surrounded by controversies. The matter reached the courts. Due to this, there was not only delay in appointments but also issues of corruption continuously came to light.

For the first time, our government has made appointment rules and is making appointments on vacant posts in various departments. JPSC result was released in record time and it included 32 officers who come from BPL category. This is a witness to the fact that complete honesty and transparency was maintained in the JPSC examination and no controversy arose anywhere.

The Chief Minister said that the recruitment phase is going on in government departments. Appointments have been made to the posts of doctor, engineer, veterinarian, AYUSH doctor, agriculture officer, sports officer, panchayat secretary, nurse and clerks etc. At the same time, about 34 thousand youth have received offer letters in private institutions and companies by organizing employment fairs. The government is trying to make the youth here stand on their own feet. 

The Chief Minister said that our government is working with full sensitivity in accordance with the public sentiments. The people of the state are being linked to the links of development. Paving the way for the progress of people of every class and section including the poor, the deprived, the Dalits, the women, the youth, the farmers, the labourers, etc. 

The Chief Minister said that our government definitely fulfills what it says. I do not claim that all the problems of the state have been solved. But, continuous efforts are being made in this direction. Public problems are being addressed as special priority. This is the reason why people’s expectations and aspirations from our government are also increasing a lot. Our government is working to give a new direction to the state amidst all the challenges. 

The Chief Minister said that after a long struggle we got a separate Jharkhand state. But the dream of all-round development of the state that our ancestors had seen could not be fulfilled in the last two decades. Despite all the resources, Jharkhand continued to be counted among the backward states. People’s hopes continued to be shattered. But, the way our government has been working for the last 4 years, development is getting a new dimension.

The Chief Minister said that our government has taken many such historic decisions, which have become an example for the country. We are giving 100% scholarship to the tribals, Dalits, backward classes and minorities for studying abroad. Through the Universal Pension Scheme, pension is being given to all the elderly, widows and disabled people. There are many more such decisions, which are working to empower and advance the people here.

The Chief Minister said that today is the era of competition. In such a situation, so that the children of government schools are not left behind, keeping this in mind, government schools are being upgraded on the lines of private schools. Schools of excellence have been opened. Better education facilities are being provided in model schools. Infrastructure is being strengthened in all categories of schools. Initiatives are being taken to provide education to children through digital medium. The hostels are being renovated. It is our endeavour that the children of government schools can also prove themselves better in today’s competitive era.

The Chief Minister told the newly appointed teachers that along with teaching in schools, they should work to identify the hidden talents of children and hone them. He said that many children are talented in sports, painting, song, dance and music, but they do not get opportunities. In such a situation, you must fulfill your important responsibilities in bringing them forward. 

On this occasion, the Chief Minister launched the Ji Guruji App prepared by the School Education and Literacy Department. Through this app, students of government schools of the state can study through audio-video medium with digital content apart from school, they can also study at home.

On this occasion, Ministers Alamgir Alam and Satyanand Bhokta, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Mahua Maji, Secretary to the Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary of School Education and Literacy Department K. Ravi Kumar, Director of Primary Education Neha Arora, SPD Director Kiran Pasi and Many officials of the district administration including Director of Secondary Education Sunil Kumar were present.
