Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department conducted state level review

Ranchi: Secretary of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Department Abu Bakar Siddiqui has directed all the officials to make proper use of the amount allocated for schemes related to agriculture and animal husbandry and ensure that it is spent as per the selection of the beneficiaries. He was speaking in the departmental review organized through video conferencing to all the district agriculture officers, animal husbandry and fisheries officers in the NIC auditorium located at Nepal House.

Secretary of the department Abu Bakar Siddiqui expressed displeasure over the disappointing performance in many districts and District Land Conservation Officers of Giridih, East Singhbhum, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Seraikela-Kharsawan and Lohardaga, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Lohardaga, Gumla, Latehar and Khunti.

Order has been given to give show cause notice to the District Agriculture Officer and District Animal Husbandry Officer of Seraikela, Simdega, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur and Gumla. He said that if the implementation of the schemes does not speed up or the performance does not improve within the next eight days, then be prepared to take action.

The Chief Minister Livestock Scheme, he has given strict instructions to the District Animal Husbandry Officers of Hazaribagh, Gumla, Simdega, Jamshedpur and Seraikela and directed them to give show cause and has also made it clear that if the functioning is not improved within eight days. It happens that action will be taken under Form ‘A’ against the officials who perform disappointingly.

He said that departmental review will be conducted again in the first week of March. Regarding the disappointing work in the Duck Scheme, he said that women’s groups should be linked to the Duck Scheme by holding a meeting with JSPLS. He said that the number of beneficiaries selected against the target and the condition of DBT is quite pathetic. It should be improved.

The departmental secretary has directed to organize the Integrated Birsa Gram Vikas Yojana cum Krishak Pathshala, ensure the expenditure of the remaining amount and also complete the saturation certificate of the Agriculture Loan Waiver Scheme and send it to the department by 29th February.

Apart from this, he reviewed seed distribution, Birsa Crop Extension Scheme, Agri Srma Vipage, Soil Health, Chief Minister Drought Crop Relief Scheme and Soil Conservation Scheme. Regarding the Drought Crop Relief Scheme, he directed that the work of land verification is pending in many districts, complete it and also complete the pending cases of e-KYC. Regarding the disappointing implementation of agricultural schemes, he ordered show cause to the agriculture officers of those districts where less than 10 percent work has been done.

The Secretary said that there is a lot of money left for the schemes of percolation tank and pond renovation and deepening. Get the work done by getting the schemes recommended by the MLA as soon as possible and also ensure that the authenticity of the schemes is verified through geo tagging and entry in MIS.
