Workshop organised by Election Commission regarding Jharkhand Voter Awareness Contest

Ranchi: A workshop was organized with different categories of artists in the Chief Electoral Officer office auditorium on Monday regarding Jharkhand Voter Awareness Contest. The objective of this workshop is to give detailed information about Jharkhand Voter Awareness Contest to various categories of artists of Ranchi like painters, musicians, lyricists, social media influencers, film directors, actors-actresses and to make them aware of the rules of the contest.

Addressing the artists who reached the workshop, Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar told them that this is a good opportunity when they can not only make the best use of their art by becoming a partner in promoting the great festival of democracy, but they also have the opportunity to win awards.

It was told that on the lines of National Voter Awareness Contest, this Voter Awareness Contact is being organized in Jharkhand too, for which people of all age groups of Jharkhand are being appealed to send their entries. Participating in four categories of competitions like short films, music video, reel making and poster making can also be obtained from the website of the Chief Electoral Officer. There is also a provision for prizes worth up to Rs 10 lakh for the said competition.

The last date of this competition has been kept as 31 March 2024. After receiving the entries in all categories, the best creations will be selected and awarded by the jury formed at the headquarters level. The social media engagement of the concerned participant will also be taken into consideration while deciding the awards. 

A total surcharge of 35 percent has been fixed for social media. At the conclusion of the workshop, the Voter’s Oath was administered to everyone by the Chief Electoral Officer.
