Unfortunate for the people of Jharkhand not to get time from the President – Vinod Pandey

Ranchi:  India alliance could not get time to meet the President. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has reacted to this. JMM General Secretary Vinod Pandey said that it is unfortunate for the people of the state that the leaders of the India Alliance are not getting time to meet the President.

Pandey said that on March 4, a letter was sent by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha to Rashtrapati Bhavan, in which the leaders of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and alliance parties had sought time to meet the President, but according to the information received from Rashtrapati Bhavan. Due to lack of time the President is unable to meet.

Vinod Pandey said that it is very unfortunate that a delegation of India Alliance wanted to meet the President regarding three issues related to the identity of Jharkhand: expanding the scope of reservation, Sarna Dharma Code and 1932 Khatian based local and planning policy, but there was no time.

He said that Sarna Dharma Code has been the most important demand of the tribal society of Jharkhand and agitation has been going on for a long time. After this, the government of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren passed this bill from the Assembly and sent it to Raj Bhavan. Along with this, the Hemant Soren government passed the Khatian based local policy and planning policy bill, a very old demand of the people of Jharkhand, 1932 and sent it to the Raj Bhavan. But it would be said that unfortunately it was kept hanging in the Raj Bhavan for a long time and then sent back to the government.

Pandey said that after this the government passed this bill and sent it to Raj Bhavan. Similarly, in Jharkhand, a bill to increase the scope of reservation for ST, SC and OBC categories from 26 to 28, for SC from 10 to 12 and for OBC from 14 to 27 percent was passed and sent to Raj Bhavan. Firstly, the Raj Bhavan kept it hanging for a long time, then returned it citing the Indian Constitution and claiming that it was not constitutional.

The people of India Alliance wanted to meet the President regarding all these matters. But time was not given by Rashtrapati Bhavan. Pandey said that once again a letter will be written to Rashtrapati Bhavan seeking time so that our views can be put before the President on this issue related to Jharkhand. Vinod Pandey raised questions on the CAA law and said that this is a strange situation.

11 lakh people left India which is not a good sign for the economic condition of our country. Instead of bringing them back, the government wants to open the way for people from abroad to settle here. The manner in which this law has been brought in and the haste with which it has been brought. It appears that the Modi government wants to use the benefits of this law under electoral objectives.

Vinod Pandey said that the outline of seats for the India Alliance has been prepared. The seats and candidates will be announced very soon. No one needs to worry. Which screw is on which seat? This is a product of the media, everything has been decided, just wait a little.
