Three Naxalites arrested by Security Forces involved in IED making in West Singhbhum

Ranchi: Security forces have achieved great success in West Singhbhum on Friday. In the ongoing action against Naxalites, security forces have arrested three Naxalites. This arrest took place from Tonto in Kolhan Forest Reserve area.

District police and security forces have arrested three Naxalites and also recovered iron pipes, wires and machines on their spot. Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar said that we conducted the raid on the basis of secret information in which we got this success.

Debay Purti alias Legese Purti (28 years), Juria Bahanda alias Mata Bahanda (28 years) and Lebia Boipai (21 years), and active members of the banned CPI-Maoist organization, were at their house in Rengra village. Based on this information we conducted a raid and arrested three.

After this information, a special team was formed for the raid. After being caught, IED-making material was also recovered on the instructions of these Maoists. The Naxalites were arrested and sent to judicial custody on Friday.

During the interrogation, it also came to light that the three arrested Naxalites were also involved in planting IEDs, arrow bombs and boobytraps to cause harm to the police and security forces. The three Naxalites admitted during interrogation that they had planted IED bombs at many places to prevent the entry of police and security forces into the forest areas. He has been involved in this campaign of Naxalites.
