Ranchi, Jul 18: Principal Income Tax Commissioner Taps Dutta was on Tuesday once again forwarded to two days of more CBI remand.
After the end of one day of CBI remand he was produced before the special CBI judge B K Tiwari who sent him to two days of further remand. Earlier the CBI had demanded for four days of further remand which was opposed by the lawyers of Dutta who opposed being his client sent to regular remand. He demanded that in judicial custody itself in jail he be interrogated.
Special Public Prosecutor of CNI SK Yadav said that some questioning is still left due to which he needed to be questioned and some documents related to Hazaribagh and Ranchi are pending which still needed to be founded. The CBI said that during questioning Tapas Dutta is kept in AC rooms.
After listening to the arguments of both teh sides the court granted two days more of CBI remand to Tapas Dutta. When probed by the media Dutta refused to comment but maintained that he had full faith in the judiciary as the matter was in the court.
