The rapid response team formed by the district administration for the work under the action plan to prevent the spread of bird flu, scientific method of disposal of poultry within the radius of 01 kilometre of the infected area and cleansing of the infected area. Disinfection work is being done.
The team is checking the availability of chickens, eggs etc. in chicken/egg shops and surrounding areas within a radius of 1 kilometre of the infected area and necessary action is being taken to prevent the spread of bird flu. During the testing of poultry of Regional Poultry Farm, Hotwar, Ranchi in ICAR-NIHSAD Bhopal, H5N1 Avian Influenza has been confirmed.
Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi Rahul Kumar Sinha, as a precautionary measure, prohibits the purchase, sale and transportation of any live/dead poultry/poultry products and eggs within a radius of one kilometre from the Regional Poultry Farm, Hotwar, Ranchi (infected area) till further orders.
