Students of Jharkhand School learning to overcome Negative Emotions through Harsh Johar Programme of Government

Ranchi: The students here are also learning Jharkhand’s culture through the Harsh Johar curriculum implemented in many schools of Jharkhand. The state government has started it by focusing on the socio-cultural aspects from class 1 to class 12. This course gives a glimpse of the relevant region and culture of Jharkhand. Folktales, real experiences, field activities have been integrated, making the children relatable.

The curriculum has been innovatively designed to suit the changing times, starting with activities to be happy forever and ending with concepts and expressions. Johar curriculum has been running since the last 2 years in 80 excellent schools of Jharkhand and 60 other schools of 5 districts Chatra, Palamu, East Singhbhum, Giridih and Dumka.

In the coming days, children will join Harsh Johar in 360 schools of excellence in all the blocks of Jharkhand. The training of two teachers from each of the 80 excellent schools of the state government has been completed for Harsh Johar.

Its objective is to enable the children of the state to learn the art of overcoming negative and emotional experiences, to solve complex problems effectively, to encourage their efforts for self-development, to build positive relationships with each other and to understand the importance of empathy towards others.
