Ranchi: Students today locked the administrative building of Ranchi University and sat on strike outside the gate. Under the leadership of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) leader Rohit Shekhar, around 50 students are demanding to take the generic paper examination.
Actually, the third semester examination was held on 8th July and the first semester examination was held on 22nd July.
But its result has not been released yet.
Whereas the examination of generic paper of Semester 4 of the students of session 2017-20 and 2018-21 has not been conducted yet.
In such a situation, the students are protesting outside the gate of the administrative building and demanding to take the generic paper examination.
The students sitting on strike said that the exams of semesters two and four were to be taken 15 days after the exams of first and third semesters were taken.
Even after four months have passed, the examination has not been conducted. Said that the validity of registration of students for 2017-2020 session will end in December.
Some students have appeared for the competitive examination, but due to the absence of the exam, their document verification is not being done.
Vice Chancellor Professor Ajit Kumar Singh, Registrar and other officials are in the seminar organized at Aryabhatta Auditorium of Ranchi University.
No officer is present in the university campus.
