Ranchi : Earthquake tremors were felt in various states of North India and Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi late on Friday night.
Earthquake tremors were felt in the capital around 11:32 pm.
However, there is no information so far about any loss of life due to this shock.
Abhishek Anand, scientist of Meteorological Center, Ranchi, said that the intensity of the earthquake was 6.4 on the Richter scale.

When the earthquake struck Ranchi, almost everyone in the house was getting ready to sleep.
People felt the tremors of the earthquake in many areas including Kokar, Lalpur, Hinnu and Hatia of the capital Ranchi.
In Singh Mod, Morhabadi, Ashok Nagar area, people came out of their apartments and came on the road. People have felt mild tremors of the earthquake for some time.
People have felt several tremors till 11:44 pm.
