Ranchi: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and State Foundation Day the main function was held at Morhabadi Maidan in the capital Ranchi. The event once again witnessed a historic moment, when Chief Minister Hemant Soren launched several schemes for the progress, prosperity and empowerment of the state and the people of the state. Surely these schemes will bring a new dawn of hope for Jharkhand. While the state will establish new dimensions of development, the hopes and aspirations of the people of the state will be fulfilled. It would not be wrong to say that all these policies and schemes will lay the foundation stone for the golden future of Jharkhand.
*Foundation laid for 147 schemes, inauguration of 222 schemes*
A total of 369 schemes were inaugurated and foundation stones laid at a cost of Rs 7309.58 crore on this occasion. In this, foundation stones of 147 schemes were inaugurated at a cost of Rs 5433.24 crore and 222 schemes were inaugurated at a cost of Rs 1876.34 crore. Among the schemes in which the foundation stone was completed, 41 of the Road Construction Department (amount 1718.64 crore), 17 of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department (931.31 crore), 4 of the Building Construction Department (261.34 crore), 3 of the Water Resources Department (84.27 crore) , 12 (1658.86 crore) of Urban Development and Housing Department, 3 (74.31 crore) of School Education and Literacy Department, one of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority, Backward Classes and Welfare Department, 14 of Rural Work Department, Jharkhand Police Housing 16 schemes of Corporation, 17 schemes of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Department, 14 schemes of Health Department (517.65 crore) and 5 schemes of
higher and technical education are included.
The schemes inaugurated include 43 projects of the Road Construction Department, 2 of the Water Resources Department, 2 of the Building Construction Department, 7 of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, 13 of the Urban Development and Housing Department, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minorities, Backward Class Welfare Department 7, Rural Works Department 13, Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation 25, Labor Planning, Training and Skill Development Department 6, Health Department 8, Higher and Technical Education Department 10 and School Education and Literacy Department 86 Plans included.
*Distribution of appointment letters*
On this occasion, appointment letters were given to 609 candidates recommended by Jharkhand Public Service Commission, 16 recommended for Accounts Officer and 320 selected candidates for hostess in RIMS Ranchi.
*Distribution of assets among the beneficiaries*
Assets worth Rs 1247.39 crore were distributed among 13,90,164 beneficiaries in the main function organized at Morhabadi Maidan in capital Ranchi on the occasion of State Foundation Day. Apart from this, the Chief Minister participated in the program organized in 12 districts under the Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar program organized in two phases from October 12 to November 14 and distributed assets worth Rs 759.21 crore among 8,95,324 beneficiaries.
*Jharkhand Electric Vehicle Policy-2022*
Electric vehicles are to be promoted under Jharkhand Electric Vehicle Policy-2022. It aims to replace ICE engine based vehicles with electric vehicles by the year 2030. Whereas, a project will be set up to manufacture ACC batteries by 2027. The provisions of attractive grants to be given under this policy will encourage the use of electric vehicles.
*Jharkhand Ethanol Production Promotion Policy-2022*
Under the Jharkhand Ethanol Production Promotion Policy, the use of biofuel will be promoted in the state. The policy aims to increase the use of ethanol blended petrol to 40 percent by the year 2025. Biofuels are manufactured from agricultural products such as sugarcane.
*Jharkhand Industrial Park and Logistics Policy-2022*
The objective of Jharkhand Industrial Park and Logistics Policy-2022 is to provide economic strength to the state. Industrial parks and logistics parks will be set up here with the participation of government and private institutions. The income from this will also be directly received by the state government. This will boost direct and indirect employment in the state.
*Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme*
Under this scheme, the government will provide loan facility to the economically weak students of the state who have passed 10th and 12th for the study of higher education in the field of engineering, medical, law, research etc. In this, loans up to a maximum of Rs 15 lakh will be made available to the students through the bank. The students will have to pay 4 percent simple interest on this loan. The state government will bear the remaining interest amount. At the same time, the maximum limit for repayment of loan will be 15 years and for this, students will not have to deposit any security. A provision of two hundred crore rupees has been made for this scheme as corpus fund.
*Eklavya Training Scheme*
Students of the state will be provided free coaching facility in reputed coaching institutes for recruitment competitive examinations conducted by Union Public Service Commission, Jharkhand Public Service Commission, Central/Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission and recruitment agencies like Banking and Railways etc.
