RMC issues tender for medicine supply to 25 AYUSH centres for 4th time

Ranchi: The health wing of Ranchi Municipal Corporation has once again floated an e-tender for the supply of medicines to 25 AYUSH health and wellness centres across the city. This is the fourth attempt to finalise a vendor for the supply, after the previous three rounds failed to secure a suitable bidder.

The e-tender process will begin on April 25, 2025, and the last date for submitting bids is May 5, 2025. The bids will be opened on May 6, 2025.

Interested agencies will need to pay a tender fee of ₹11,800 (inclusive of GST) and submit a security deposit of ₹1,00,000. A pre-bid meeting for interested suppliers is scheduled for April 30, 2025.

For more information and to participate in the bidding process, vendors can visit the official government tender portal at www.jharkhandtenders.gov.in.

The AYUSH centers have frequently reported a shortage of essential medicines, causing inconvenience to patients. The main reason behind this issue is the repeated failure of the tender process to secure a qualified vendor.

As a result, the centers have not been able to function at full capacity, limiting the public’s access to AYUSH healthcare services.

The municipal corporation hopes that this fourth round of tendering will attract capable suppliers and finally ensure a consistent supply of medicines to the centers.
