Ratu CO Pradeep Kumar and others appeared in ACB court, arrested while taking bribe

Ranchi: ACB presented Ratu Zone CO Pradeep Kumar, accused of taking bribes for land mutation, before the court. He was presented in the special court of ACB located at Ranchi Civil Court under tight security. After which the court has sent him and other accused to Birsa Munda Central Jail in judicial custody.

Taking major action against corruption, the ACB team had raided Ratu zonal office on Thursday. During this time, ACB officials had arrested Ratu CO Pradeep Kumar, light employee Sunil Singh and a broker while taking a bribe of Rs 25,000. After the raid in the zonal office, the ACB team along with Pradeep Kumar also reached his residence number 1 Indrapuri Road on Ratu Road and raided there also. In which cash worth more than Rs 2 lakh was recovered. ACB confiscated the recovered money.

CO Pradeep Kumar had demanded a bribe of Rs 25,000 from a person for working in a land case. After this he complained about it to Ranchi ACB. After receiving the complaint, ACB got the case verified. During verification, it was found that CO Pradeep Kumar and Halka employees were taking bribes through a broker. Bribe was being demanded in exchange for mutation of the land. It is situated in Pali of Ratu region.
