Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sent summons to Sahibganj SP Naushad Alam on Friday. ED has sent summons to Naushad Alam and asked him to appear at the Ranchi zonal office of ED on 22nd November. In the ED investigation, Naushad Alam has been found involved in making witness Vijay Hansda an opponent of ED in the illegal mining case.

ED’s important witness Vijay Hansda had retracted his earlier statement in the court on 12th. Vijay Hansda had suddenly come to the court to testify without any prior notice, while the ED had not even summoned him to testify.

The hearing of the case is going on in the court of ED special judge PK Sharma. However, the testimony of Vijay Hansda could also not be completed. Earlier, testimony of two people has been recorded in the case.

Along with Pankaj Mishra, Prem Prakash, Bachchu Yadav, Pashupati Yadav and Krishna Saha are facing trial in the illegal mining case of Rs 1000 crore. Pankaj Mishra has been in jail since July 19, 2022. Vijay Hansda is an important witness of ED in this case. Vijay Hansda himself had complained about illegal mining on Lemon Hill in the year 2022.

In the complaint filed in the court, he had complained against Barhet MLA representative Pankaj Mishra and others. A case was registered in the matter in December 2022. After being jailed in an Arms Act case, Vijay Hansda had filed a petition in the High Court demanding a CBI investigation into illegal mining.

However, he later filed another petition to withdraw the petition. At the same time, he had filed a named FIR against two ED witnesses. In the same case, Vijay had also accused the ED officer of using caste-related words in his statement under section 164.
