Ranchi: Ranchi University has released the notification for PhD Entrance Test.
PhD entrance test will be conducted for 22 subjects.
To appear in this entrance test, applications can be made till 4 pm on 7th November.
The entrance exam will be taken on 24th December.
Candidates with minimum 55% marks in any one of the listed subjects can apply.
The percentage of marks required for reserved category candidates is 50 percent.
To appear in this entrance examination, candidates will have to pay the examination fee.
The examination fee is Rs 2500 for general category, Rs 2000 for reserved category candidates.
The examination form will cost Rs 300.
This will be in the form of bank draft, payable in the name of Registrar, Ranchi University.
The examination form has to be submitted to the office of the Controller of Examinations.

Candidates wishing to appear in the PhD entrance examination of Ranchi University should know that the results of the previous entrance examination conducted by the University will be valid only until the result of this entrance examination is released.
Along with the application, candidates will have to submit a caste certificate, master’s degree mark sheet, graduation mark sheet and 10th mark sheet as required.
The PhD entrance examination conducted by Ranchi University will be of 2 hours.
In this, questions of 100 marks will be asked.
The format of questions will be multiple choice.
All questions will be of one mark each.
Question papers will be in two groups.
The first will be called Group A and the second will be called Group B.
Group B will be of related subjects.
Its syllabus will be of PG level of Ranchi University.
There will be questions of 80 marks.
