Raghubar kicks off ‘Vidyalay Chalen-Chaleyen Abhiyaan 2017’

Ranchi, Apr 10: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the school management committees have an important role to play in the education of the children and bringing out the hidden talent in the villages.

 

Addressing the people after inaugurating the ‘Vidyalay Chale-Chaleye Abhiyaan 2017’ at the Khelgaon here he said that it was important for the state and the country that each and every child is enrolled in the schools and there are no drop outs. He said that there was a need to make a collaborative effort by the people, the administration and the school management committees so that  apart from teachers 100 per cent attendance of children is maintained in the schools, the schools are cleaned and funds received are judicially utilised.

 

The Chief Minister said that there would be lack of resources for the education of the children. He said that poverty would only be removed from the state when each and every person is educated. He said that despite 70 years of Independence the people could not achieve 100 pc literacy rate as focus was not accorded to primary and middle school education and added that the state government was taking efforts to provide quality education to the children from the poor communities.

 

Mr Das said that apart from strengthening the infrastructure, the lack of teachers was being solved and arrangements of benches and desks were being made in the schools and said that by 2018 in all the schools electricity would be provided along with arrangements of toilets and laboratories. He said that the children would also be sent for educational tours. He said that if the people come to know about irregularities in the teacher recruitment than they should inform after which strict action would be taken. He urged the people to participate in full strength in the campaign.

 

Among those present on the occasion also included Kanke MLA Jeetu Charan Ram, Secretary School Education Aradhana Patnaik, Director Middle Education Manish Ranjan and other officials.
