Palamu: In view of the Lok Sabha elections, Panki Police is continuously taking action against those selling illegal liquor. Based on secret information, Panki police have arrested two shopkeepers with illegal liquor from Sagalim bus stand. Police seized a huge quantity of illicit liquor from both the shopkeepers.
Panki police station in-charge Uttam Tiwari said that the police had received secret information that illegal liquor trade was being done under the guise of a paan shop in Sagalim bus stand. On this information, police raided the shops of Rohit Kumar and Upendra Kumar in Sagalim.
During this, a large number of illegal liquor bottles were recovered from both the shops. The police have arrested the accused and sent him to jail.
