Ranchi: After assuming office, Jharkhand’s School Education and Literacy Minister Ramdas Soren made his first visit to the steel city, Jamshedpur, on Saturday. He was warmly welcomed by JMM district committee members and other branch committees, who garlanded him near the Dumuhani Dobo Pulia. Soren paid his respects at the martyr Nirmal Mahato’s memorial in Kadma Ulian and later visited the Birsa Munda statue at Sakchi’s park, offering floral tributes.
Minister Soren outlined several initiatives aimed at elevating the state’s education standards. He emphasized the state government’s commitment to improving school education by implementing various schemes. A major focus will be reassessing schools that were closed during former Chief Minister Raghubar Das’s tenure. The goal is to not only enhance the quality of education but also ensure more inclusive and accessible education for students.
Minister Soren highlighted that a significant challenge in the state’s education sector is the shortage of teachers, which has hindered the teaching process. Many schools are unable to provide quality education due to a lack of teachers. To address this, the government plans to speed up teacher recruitment and appointments, which will improve both education quality and student academic development.
Recognizing Jharkhand’s cultural diversity, the state government plans to offer education in regional languages, including Santali, in schools. This initiative aims to ensure that children can learn in their mother tongue, boosting their confidence and helping them connect better with their culture. The state government is committed to providing a new direction for education, which will raise the standard of education in Jharkhand and provide students with a brighter future.
