Jharkhand Education Department’s career portal becomes open to all

Ranchi: Jharkhand Education Project has made the career portal open to all. Earlier only children of government schools could use the jhcareerportal.com website. To access the portal, Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) login-password was required, which has now been removed. Now anyone can search for information about career options on this portal.

In this portal, information about 555 career options for children from 9th to 12th is given. In which field the children want to make their career, they can get the courses and other information related to it according to their interest.

Information about 24,000 colleges across the country is also available in the career portal. All the information like the admission process, which courses are available and when the form is released, etc. are available in this portal.

After making the portal open to all, the number of people opening the website has increased rapidly. Children of private schools are also searching for information related to career and courses here.

Till now 8 lakh 34 thousand children have accessed the portal. Information related to 334 professional courses in Arts, Science and Commerce is available here for the students, while 221 vocational career options are also included.

Apart from this, information related to the entrance exam for 1150 courses and more than 1200 scholarships is given. To explore career options on the website and for professional and vocational courses, you will have to open the related jhcareerportal.com. After this you have to type demofacilitator1 in the user name. After entering 123456 in the password, the website will open. After this, options of career, scholarship, college and exam will come, by entering which complete information can be obtained.

Here all 555 options including Computer Science, Building Engineering, Business Management, Journalism, Blogging, Architect, Tourism, Photography, and Business will be visible. This portal has been created with the joint initiative of Jharkhand Government and UNICEF India. 

Sanjeev Kumar, consultant of JEPC in Jharkhand Education Project, said that the portal was launched in 2019 itself, but it did not get the success it should have. After opening the access to all, we are getting a good response.

Children of class 10th to 12th are getting information related to career and courses in the portal. In this regard, headmasters, computer teachers, BEOs, DEOs and DSCs of all schools have also been given training.
