Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court on Friday directed to stop the salary of Jharkhand Urja Vitran Nigam Ltd (JUVNL) for contempt of court.
The court of justice HC Mishra issued an order in this regard. The court in its order directed that the salary should be stopped unless the previous order of the High Court is implemented.
The executive engineer of JUVNL Ataurrehman was not given a promotion in the year 2004 while his juniors had been promoted after which he had approached the High Court. In the year 2017, a single bench had ordered to give him a promotion.
In the year 2021, the complainant again approached the High Court raising the issue of contempt of court as despite the order in 2017 he was not given promotion. Hearing the matter the court expressed its displeasure and directed to stop the salary of the MD till the orders of the court is implemented.
