Government working to provide best health care facilities: Minister

Ranchi: Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi set that the government was committed to providing best healthcare facilities to the people of the state and was even working to make sure that the health care facilities are available at the doorsteps of the people.

He said that the government has committed to providing 57 lakh golden cards to the people of the state by September 25 and pointed that 32 lakh additional families have been included under the scheme. He said that in the last 10 months 2.19 crore patients have been treated under this scheme and highlighted that the present state government has also opened many new medical colleges and cost the private investors to come forward to set up hospitals in the state.

Member of the Niti Aayog Dr Vinod Kumar Paul said that there are many opportunities in the Healthcare sector in the state especially in telehealth which can be setup with the help of Broadband and satellite and said that talks have been held with ISRO in this regard and if the state government would want than the issue would be taken further.

On the occasion, the dignitaries also launched e-health magazine. Those who were also present on the occasion included secretary health doctor Nitin Madan Kulkarni Director RIMS Dr D K Singh and other officials.
