Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said as per the data of the Niti Aayog Jharkhand ranks third at the index of Incremental Growth as since 2014 continuous improvements have been made.
Addressing the Healthcare Summit Jharkhand 2019 he said that the maternal mortality rate in Jharkhand in 2000 was 400 per lakh which has been reduced to 165 per lakh while the infant mortality rate which was 72 per thousand has been reduced to 29 per thousand and institutional delivery which was just 13.50 percent has increased to 80 percent and incomplete vaccination the rate has jumped from 9 percent to 87 percent while among all the states Jharkhand was at the third position in States providing Healthcare facilities through the OPD and these are the facts which show that Jharkhand was making Rapid progress in the area of Healthcare.
He said that by Sep 25 2.85 crore people would be covered under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and would be provided golden cards. He said that the golden cards have been provided to 13.33 lakh people and said that it was a matter of great happiness for the state government that 2.26 lakh beneficiaries avail the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana for which a sum of Rs 206 crore has been spent.
He said that to ensure that the benefit of the scheme reaches to the maximum people 300 bed Hospital in Jamshedpur has been set up where patients of only Ayushman Bharat Yojana would be treated. He said that 4:29 private and 219 government hospitals are registered under the iceman Bharat Yojana in the state and from August 16 onwards the to be paid for making the golden cards at the Pragya kendras would be also wavedk off by the government and beneficiary will not have to pay any money to get the golden cards made.
