Farmers will become bonded labourers in their own farms due to wrong policies of Centre: Chief Minister

Dumka: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that due to wrong policies of the Centre the agriculture sector was in danger and the farmers are on the verge of becoming bonded labourers in their own farms.

Addressing an election meeting in Gando village he said that traders from Gujarat and Maharashtra will capture the fields and will also fix the rate of the produce. He said that due to wrong policies of Centre onion was being sold at Rs 70 per kilogram while even potatoes have now gone missing from the plates.

The Chief Minister said that while on one hand former Chief Ministers and big leaders were campaigning for the BJP on the other hand he was son of a poor farmer. He said that the previous government had tried to make changes in the CNT and SPT act which was prevented with the support of the people.

The Chief Minister said that after coming to power Raghubar government had stopped the Saree Dhoti Yojana which will be once again started after the bypolls. He said that in the neighbouring state of Bihar people have already made their minds to throw out the BJP and even in Jharkhand the shop of BJP will be closed and they would be sent to Gujarat.

He said that BJP and their leaders want the people to fight in the name of Hindus and Muslims but his government was working to strengthen the Adivasi and Moolvasis and therefore the reservation would be increased in the state. He said that his government will ensure that no one remains hungry and landless in the state.

He said that BJP, on one hand, cancelled the ration cards of 15 lakh people but his government is giving ration cards to 11 lakh people and even land would be provided to the landless.
