English liquor recovered: 21 boxes of liquor made in Bengal and 250 liters of beer recovered from Dhanbad

Dhanbad:  21 boxes of illegally stored English liquor and 250 liters of beer were recovered from the house of Sandeep Gupta alias Chhatanki in Ranibandh of Dhaiya. Its value has been estimated at more than Rs 2 lakh.

Assistant Excise Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Mehta said that after receiving information about the illegal storage of liquor, the raid was conducted under the leadership of Inspector Amit Gupta and Jitendra Kumar. Liquor manufactured in Bengal was recovered from it. 

During the raid, Sandeep escaped by crossing the boundary. The Assistant Commissioner said that selling liquor manufactured in Bengal in Jharkhand is a crime. Investigation is being done as to how the liquor from Bengal reached here.
