Ranchi: Jharkhand Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto said education will be on the lines of CBSE in government schools of the state. Addressing a program organized by Save the Children at Hotel Radisson Blu here that the level of education in Jharkhand has to be taken to new heights as the education department has made preparations for this as part of which new experiments are being done.
He said that 80 new schools are being constructed to provide quality education to poor children. It is the priority of our government to bring government schools at par with private schools he said adding that in government schools too, education will be provided on the lines of CBSE for this approval has been given for studies in 25 schools.
Also, out of 80 schools under construction, 50 new schools will be inaugurated on December 29 he said that on this occasion the Education Minister inaugurated the Gulmohar model prepared by Save the Children for school children to study through videos.
Mahto said that Jharkhand is touching new heights of development under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The education department is also not untouched by this. The government is providing quality education to the children and efforts are on in this direction. Every cooperation is being done by the government for the education of the children. Funds are being made available to the students of class 9 and 10 under the Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme.
He said that the department has changed the color of the schools, changed the color of the school dress of the children and will also change the color of education, which will remove the difference between government and private schools as the department has started preparations for this. The Education Minister said that the role of institutions is also important in the remarkable work being done by the government in the field of education and the work being done by organizations like Save the Children in the early education of children is commendable.
He suggested working to strengthen the primary education of children in Jharkhand, whatever cooperation is expected from the government will be fulfilled in this. He said that everyone will have to come forward in this kind of social work. Parents will have to strengthen their will as well as such organizations will have to work in tandem with the government to make the future of the children bright. State head of Save the Children Mahadev Hansda said that it is necessary to strengthen the primary education of children.
The organization is working to prepare children in rural areas to go to school. Many training programs are being run to make the early education of children easy. With the help of School Education and Literacy Department and the Women and Child Development Department of the Jharkhand Government, we are trying to strengthen the primary education of children. He said that the organization is working in five states including Jharkhand.
In Jharkhand, work is underway in two districts, Tonto and Tantnagar blocks of West Singhbhum and Bharno and Sisai blocks of Gumla. Avinash of Save the Children highlighted in detail the work being done by the organization in West Singhbhum and Gumla districts of Jharkhand in collaboration with the Department of School Education and Literacy and also told about the Gulmohar model. District Education Officer of West Singhbhum and Gumla, Madhukar, Parul of UNICEF, Deputy Director of Save the Children Avinash and school children from different districts, Anganwadi workers, etc were present in the programme.
