Officers should take their responsibilities seriously regarding ambitious schemes: Hemant Soren

Deoghar: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has asked the officers to take the responsibility seriously as far as execution of government schemes was concerned in the state. Chairing a high-level review meeting at the circuit house here he said that the government has started many ambitious schemes.

It is our topmost priority that these schemes come to the ground. The figures which the officers have given regarding these schemes is very encouraging but in reality the same enthusiasm is not being seen among the people regarding these schemes. He warned the officials that such negligence will not be tolerated and officers should take their responsibilities seriously.

The Chief Minister said the officers that the government has given the official full freedom to work but it does not mean that they should be negligent in the execution of the works. He said that as per the information he was getting he do not see their seriousness towards the schemes of the government’s dream project and warned that this negligence and laxity will not be tolerated. If you do not fulfill your responsibilities properly then the government will be forced to take action against you he said in a stern warning to them.

Hemant Soren said that the objective of the government’s schemes is to strengthen the rural economy and to make the villagers stand on their own feet, so that their standard of living can be improved. He asked them to complete the work allotted to them with full responsibility as no laxity will be tolerated in the implementation of the schemes. If needed, the development works will be reviewed at the block and panchayat level as well he said.

The Chief Minister said that a large population of the state lives in villages and agriculture and animal husbandry are the pillars of the rural economy. It is not only the main means of livelihood of the villagers, but also an integral part of their traditional system he said adding that for this purpose, the government is running many schemes related to agriculture and animal husbandry. It is the responsibility of the officers that the farmers, animal herders and labourers get full benefits of these schemes.

The Chief Minister said that the products made by weavers and workers are being sold in branded shops, but they are not getting proper profit from them. In such a situation, it becomes the duty of the officers to help them get their due rights. The Chief Minister said that the attitude of banks towards KCC is not good. Correct it or appropriate action will be taken by the government against the banks which do not work in the interest of the farmers he said and directed the office bearers to take the applications of Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme seriously.

He said that the villagers are not very educated and are simple but if they are unable to apply in their application format then they should help them to fill the application and make the necessary papers. The Chief Minister said that on completion of three years of the government on December 29, the beneficiaries of Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Yojana, Mukhyamantri Sukhad Rahat Yojana will have to make the amount available in their accounts through DBT.

The Chief Minister directed all the officials that the work of verification of the applications received regarding these schemes should be completed under any circumstances. On this occasion Chief Minister also reviewed the Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, Sarvajan Pension Yojana, Pre Matric Scholarship, Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme, Chief Minister Drought Relief Scheme, Kisan Credit Card, Chief Minister Livestock Development Scheme, Manav Day creation under MNREGA, Revenue Court and various projects going on in the district and also reviewed the law and order of the district.
