Country’s first round foot overbridge to be built at Albert Ekka Chowk for Rs. 18 crores

Ranchi: The country’s first round foot overbridge will be built at Albert Ekka Chowk, the busiest area of the capital. It will cost about Rs 18 crore to build it. There is a deadline to complete the work in six months. The work of construction of a foot overbridge has been given to BRBA Company of Alipurduar, West Bengal. The company has started marking and measuring work at Albert Ekka Chowk.

This foot overbridge will be built in a very attractive manner. A round-foot overbridge will be built around Golambar at Albert Ekka Chowk. First of all, a new platform will be built for the statue of martyr Albert Ekka in the Chowk. After that the statue of martyr Albert Ekka will be shifted to that platform.

Attractive lights will be installed all around the top and bottom of the foot overbridge. This type of round-foot overbridge is being built for the first time in the country in Ranchi. Earlier, a round-foot overbridge was built in Kolkata, but there is no FOB to cross the road.
