CM Hemant Soren held a high-level meeting with senior officials regarding the preparations for Netarhat Eco Retreat Festival – 2023

Ranchi: Netarhat Eco Retreat Festival-2023 is to be held in the month of January next year. Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a meeting with senior officials and gave instructions regarding the ongoing preparations for this festival. He said that all preparations related to this festival should be completed by December 31. 

The Chief Minister said that there is a lot of potential in the tourism sector of Jharkhand. In such a situation, we can promote tourism through Netarhat Eco Retreat Festival. Such programs will increase the attraction of tourists from the country and the world towards the tourist places here, in such a situation it should be organized grandly and spectacularly.

The Chief Minister said that a road map should be prepared so that more and more investors are attracted towards this festival and come here. Various programs should be organized here for them and plans should be made for them to participate in them. This will give a better position to Jharkhand’s tourism. 

The Chief Minister said that Netarhat Eco Retreat Festival is very important from the tourism point of view in Jharkhand. In such a situation, all the facilities and arrangements should be made timely for all the visitors and tourists who come to this festival. Take care that their accommodation, food, transportation and other facilities are better.

The Chief Minister also said that the officer who will be entrusted with the responsibility of making the arrangements should also be given a date line to complete the work. Make sure that there is no delay of any kind in this.

The Chief Minister said that all the visitors who participate in the Netarhat Eco Retreat Festival should also make arrangements to visit the tourist places in the surrounding areas. For this, prepare a tourist circuit and accordingly make arrangements to take tourists to visit these tourist places. This includes tourist places like Palamu Fort, Betla National Park and Lodh Falls. 

The Chief Minister said that local sports, folk art and tribal cuisine should be promoted through this festival. Under this, competitions should be organized in sports like hockey and archery and local teams should get a chance to participate and be rewarded.

Local and tribal dishes should be served to the tourists coming here and arrangements should be made for presentation of local folk arts, songs, dance and music in cultural programs. 

In this meeting, the officials told the Chief Minister that there will be many other events including yoga, meditation, cyclothon, craft fair, food stall, boating, children’s entertainment and cultural programs in the Netarhat Eco Retreat Festival. Luxury tents are being set up to accommodate the visitors coming here. All facilities for their food and transportation are being provided.

In this regard, preparations have started in full swing. In the meeting Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Vandana Dadel, Principal Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh and Secretary to the Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Tourism Secretary Manoj Kumar, Tourism Director Anjali Yadav and Director of Information and Public Relations Directorate Rajeev Lochan Bakshi were present.
