BJP to hold ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme

Ranchi: BJP will organise “Har Ghar Tiranga” (Tricolor in Every Home) programme in the state. Addressing a press conference, BJP’s national spokesperson and regional in-charge of the programme

Dr Guru Prakash Paswan said that the programme will feature three major types of events, with teams formed from the state level to the mandal level to oversee them. The state team is headed by State General Secretary and MP Dr Pradeep Verma, with Vinay Jaiswal, Shashank Raj, Raghuraj Pandey, Babban Gupta, and Lakshmi Kumari serving as co-conveners.

He said that under the leadership of the Youth Wing, a “Tiranga Yatra” (Tricolor March) will be organized at the assembly level on August 11, 12, and 13, where thousands of youths will participate with the national flag. Additionally, on August 12, 13, and 14, party workers will clean war memorials and statues of martyrs across the state, paying their respects.

Dr. Paswan also mentioned that on August 14, the day before Independence Day,  “Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Divas” (Partition Horrors Remembrance Day) will be observed. This day aims to make the current generation aware of the tragic consequences of the partition, which led to the death of around 2 million people and displaced over 20 million others.

He said that this programme is the fourth initiative organized on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aiming to encourage every household to display the tricolor. Dr Paswan emphasized that there is a spontaneous enthusiasm among the public for this programme and that its success will depend on widespread public support.

The press conference was attended by State media in-charges Shivpoojan Pathak, Avinesh Kumar Singh, Babban Gupta and Vinay Jaiswal.
