Assistant teacher exam in Jharkhand to be held from Friday postponed

Ranchi: The appointment examination of Assistant teacher, which was to be held from Friday in Jharkhand, has been postponed. Now this exam can be taken from 10th February.

Advertisement for this appointment was issued on 19 July 2023. Applications were taken from 8 August to 7 September 2023. It is said that around one lakh candidates had applied. Meanwhile, due to the order of Jharkhand High Court, JSSC has postponed the examination.

There is to be an examination for appointment to 26001 posts of Assistant Professor in the state. Actually, the High Court had said that teacher eligibility test has not been conducted regularly in the state. In such a situation, those candidates of the state who have the qualification of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) or Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) of any other state can also apply.

After the order of the High Court, JSSC will once again issue advertisements. Its information will be released this week. Only those candidates who have the ability to pass the CTET or teacher eligibility test of another state.

Such candidates must be residents of Jharkhand. About 1.25 lakh candidates will get benefits if they apply again.

According to the estimated data of the Education Department, there are approximately one lakh Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test passed candidates in the state while the number of candidates who have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test is 25000.

The Assistant Professor Joint Competitive Examination for appointment of teachers in primary schools of the state can be held from February 10. Before this the Commission will open the link of the application. Applications will be taken from candidates of Jharkhand who have passed CTET and EST from other states. After that, if any error remains in the application, it will be rectified. Then the examination process will start.

According to the information released earlier, this examination was proposed from January 12 to January 31 but it has been postponed after the order of Jharkhand High Court.
