CBI raids at three locations in Barhet, Sahibganj in connection with Illegal mining case

Ranchi:  On Thursday, the CBI team is raiding three locations in Barhet, Sahibganj in connection with the illegal mining case.

The CBI team has conducted raids in Barhet, Petkhassa and Barhet Hatpara.

The CBI team is searching the houses of CSP operator Babita Devi and her husband Deepak Thakur located at Barhet Girls School Road.

Apart from this, about six CBI personnel have reached Manoj Das’s house in Petkhassa village in two Scorpios.

ED is investigating the case related to illegal mining worth Rs 1250 crore in Sahibganj and influencing ED witnesses.

ED will share the facts revealed in this investigation with CBI.

On January 3, in this case, ED had raided the locations of Sahibganj DC Ramniwas Yadav, CM advisor Abhishek Prasad Pintu and others.

In the Nimbu Pahad case, on the orders of the High Court, CBI has started investigation from November 24 after registering the case.

The CBI team has reached here five times so far for investigation.

On the orders of the High Court, the CBI team had reached here for the first time on August 24 for the preliminary investigation of this case.

In the matter, Vijay Hansda had filed a complaint in the court on 30 June 2022.

On the complaint letter filed, a case was registered in SC-ST police station on the orders of the concerned court.

CBI has taken over this case.
