Ranchi – Ahead of the Jharkhand Assembly’s Budget Session beginning Wednesday, an all-party meeting was held in Ranchi to review preparations and promote consensus. Speaker Rabindranath Mahato urged representatives across political parties to cooperate in maintaining smooth and productive proceedings.
He underlined that substantive resolutions to public issues require logical, evidence-based, and constructive debate within the legislative framework. Expressing optimism, he said the government is expected to provide comprehensive replies to members’ questions.
The Speaker noted that departments have been directed to finalise all necessary arrangements beforehand to avoid disruptions. Officials have also been instructed to ensure factual accuracy in responses, implement assurances made in the House, and maintain communication with the Assembly Secretariat.
In a prior review meeting with senior government officials, Mahato stressed the need for senior officers to remain present during the session to enable ministers to respond promptly with updated information.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren affirmed that the government is fully prepared and that constructive suggestions emerged from the meeting. Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radha Krishna Kishore called for enhanced coordination among departments and structured presentation of proposals.
The meeting was attended by Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi, Congress leader Pradeep Yadav, RJD leader Suresh Paswan, and AJSU MLA Nirmal Mahto. Key agenda points included security arrangements, administrative coordination, preparation of official documents, and departmental responsibility to ensure the session proceeds efficiently.
