Raghubar orders strict action against culprits of Giridih and Ramgarh

Deoghar, Jun 30: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das ordered to
initiate strict action against those who were responsible for violence
in Giridih and Ramgarh districts of the state.

Chairing a review meeting over the law and order situation in the
state here he said that police should catch hold of all the culprits
and by the means of fast track court punishment should be provided to
them. Mr Das also offered his condolence over the incidents in both
the districts.

DGP D K Pandey informed that out of the 13 named accused in Ramgarh
one has been arrested by the police while in Giridih 13 accused have
been arrested. He said that apart from the CID four special teams of
the police have been formed to nab the culprits.

The Chief Minister said that no one has thr right to take law in hand
in the name of cow protection. He said rule of law was supreme in the
state. He said that if there was drawbacks at the lower level of the
administration than strict action should be taken so that a clear
message is sent out to the public, he said adding that no matter who
is the culprit strict action should be taken. He asked the officials
to make sure that such type of incidents are not repeated in the
future.

The Chief Minister said that if reports of animal smuggling are
confirmed from any area than the police station in-charge of the area
would be dismissed while senior officials including the DSP would also
be under teh preview of action. Action would also be initiated against
the SP. Mr Das clearly said that time has come for action and once
again said that cow or any other smuggling in the state is completely
banned in the state.

Others who weer also present in the meet included Chief Secretary
Rajbala Verma, Development Commissioner Amit Khare, DGP DK Pandey,
Principal Secretary Home SKG Rahate, IG Santhal Pargana, DIG Santhal
Pargana and SPs of Deoghar and Dumka districts.
