Guv Draupadi Murmu pays tributes to the martyrs of Santhal Hul in Dumka

Dumka, Jun 30: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu paid floral tributes
to martyrs of the Santhal Hul rebellion at a function organised in the
sub-capital of the state here.

Apart from her, Social Welfare Minister Louis Marandi and people
associates with various organisations also garlanded the statue of
martyrs Sido-Kanhu here. Later the Governor participated in a
programme organised at the SKMU here and also launched a memorabilia
published by the university on the occasion.

In her address the
Governor asked the people to incorporate in their lives the principles
laid down by the martyrs Chand-Bhairav and Sido-Kanhu and work for the
development of the society and their respective areas. Later she held
a meeting with the prominent figures of the Santhal Tribe and
discussed in detail issues related to their social, economic and
spiritual lives. Earlier the Governor via online inaugurated the
language lab at the university.
