Ranchi, June 09 : One Maoist Guerrilla was killed, two bunkers were destroyed and arms were seized in gun battle in different parts of the state on Friday.
According to police, one Maoist Guerrillas was killed at a jungle situated under Khukra police station of Giridih district in gun battle with security forces. Police destroyed two Maoist bunkers in Giridih district. Police seized two SLR, two magazines and other things.
Gun battle between Maoist Guerrillas and security forces also took place at Galudih of East Singhbhum district on Friday. According to East Singhbhum SSP Anup Matthew, security forces rushed based on the information of the presence of Maoist leaders Akash Madan Mahto group. When state police and CRPF personnel reached Maoist started firing and encounter took place place. Maoists managed to escape and police seized one AK 47, live cartridges and other incriminating materials. Police claim injuring one Maoist.
In Khuti district, Police seized 44 electronic detonator, gun powder, one kg explosives and other things during search operation at Digari village in joint search operation of the state police and CRPF.
Maoist Guerrillas are active in 18 of the 24 districts of the state.
