Cyclone Jawad may bring rain in 12 districts of state

Ranchi: Cyclone Jawad will hit the coast of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha on Sunday afternoon and will make landfall near Puri beach in Odisha during which the wind speed is likely to be around 100 kilometers at the same time its mild effect will be seen in Jharkhand from Sunday itself. Abhishek Anand, Center Head, Meteorological Center, Ranchi said that on December 5 and 6 there may be light to moderate rain in the southern, central and northeastern parts while winds can go up to 40 kilometers per hour.

In Jharkhand, the effect of cyclones will be seen in the districts of Ranchi, Gumla, Khunti, Simdega, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, Ramgarh, Bokaro and Dhanbad and Santhal. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light rain. At the same time, since Saturday morning, there was cloud cover in Ranchi. Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 12.6 degree celsius and a maximum temperature of 26.8 degree celsius in the last 24 hours.

Talking about the state, the lowest temperature of 11.9 degree celsius has been recorded in Chaibasa and the maximum-minimum temperature is 30.5 degree celsius in Godda. According to the Meteorological Department, the most affected by the cyclone will be the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Bengal. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Odisha and Bengal on
December 5 and 6 and there is a high alert in these states.
