Ranchi, May 12 : A youth arrested on charges of theft committed suicide in police lock up on Friday morning in Ranchi, Police said.
According to police, Vikas Lakra a resident of Dhobi colony of Ranchi committed suicide by hanging himself with ceiling fan of the lock up situated at Lalpur Police station of Ranchi. He was arrested on Thursday by police on charges of theft.
The suicide has raised several questions. How the youth managed to commit suicide inside police lock situated in police station. Senior police officials have started to probe the incident.
