Ranchi: The 9th International Day of Yoga was observed in Delhi Public School (DPS), St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi, and National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Ranchi on Wednesday. The spirit of unity and holistic well-being reverberated through the premises of Delhi Public School, Ranchi as the school celebrated the 9th International Day of Yoga to mark the importance of yoga for a healthy lifestyle.
Students of Classes IX & XI assembled in the Vivekananda Auditorium and performed various yoga asanas under the guidance of yoga teachers. Students also gained the knowledge of how to practice breathing exercises and joint exercises.
The NCC Cadets (3 Jharkhand Girls Battalion and 3 Jharkhand Men Battalion) also joined hands in this activity and performed the asanas. Speaking on the occasion Dr Ram Singh, Principal DPS Ranchi said, “Yoga can be key to one’s happiness and contentment in the challenging times.
It is coordination between mind and body and helps in maintaining physical and mental well-being”. He encouraged the students to take the pledge on this day to make yoga an integral part of their life.
Sports Division, 1/3 Company NCC and NSS (National Service Scheme) unit under St. Xavier’s College Ranchi, IQAC organized a Yoga session on the occasion of International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2023.
A total of 50 participants attended the session under the leadership of NCC ANO Lt. Dr. Priya Srivastava. The session started with a warm-up by the Yoga instructors and continued with various asanas like Vrikshasana, Vajrasana, Bhujangasana, etc.
The program concluded with the closing address by Principal Dr. Fr. Nabor Lakra, SJ. Prof. Ram Murmu in the program, Prof. Kamaldeep, Prof. Narendra Singh, Mauli, Fr. Sanjay, Fr. Prabhat, Fr. Ajay Minz etc. contributed enthusiastically.
Jharkhand Navy Unit NCC celebrated International Day of Yoga on 21 Jun 23. 150 cadets and residents of the Khelgaon Housing Complex Society participated in the mega event.
The program started wherein professional trainers from Yoga Academy Ranchi imparted efficient training to the participants.
Lt SK Awasthi, Commanding Officer, 1 Jharkhand Navy Unit NCC said that India is the Yoga Guru of the world and hence it is the duty of India and its citizens to fulfill this responsibility. Yoga keeps the body and mind healthy in all aspects and is a proven healing solution in this world of medical technology. The residents of Khelgaon Samaj utilized the occasion to avail professional yoga training and interacted with the cadets.
