International Yoga Day is celebrated with the theme ‘One Earth, One Family, and One Future’ at CCL and NTPC

Ranchi: On the 9th International Yoga Day celebrated at Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). Yoga Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters, Ranchi with the theme “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” capturing the shared aspiration for “One Earth, One Family, and One Future.”

The event was graced by Sivam Srivastava, Director (Fuel) and Nominated Owner of Coal mining projects, NTPC Limited as Chief Guest.

Srivastava said, “Yoga is beneficial and helps us to keep us fit, it is universally accepted and practiced by all worldwide.” Yoga has been there in India since ancient times, with time new innovations have taken place in practicing yoga.

It is treated as preventive medicine to avoid lifestyle diseases with regular practice. He added that Yoga is the journey towards self-realization, it is proven very effective for stress management. On the occasion, Director (Fuel) appreciated team NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters for organizing a 20 days online yoga session which concluded on International Yoga Day.

The yoga session was conducted by Yoga Guru, Ramani Ranjan Panigrahi as per Yoga Protocol. Senior officials, employees, and associates participated in the program in large numbers to benefit from the various yoga asanas demonstrated during the yoga session. Yoga sessions were organized throughout the company under the supervision of a trained Yoga professional. Employees of the company, along with their families and other stakeholders took part in the sessions.

A Yoga session was organized at the officer’s club of CCL’s Jawahar Nagar Colony in Ranchi. The session was attended by CMD, CCL P.M. Prasad, Director Tech (OP) Ram Baboo Prasad, Director (Personnel) H.N Mishra, General Managers, HoDs of various departments, along with other employees and their families.
