World Malaria Day Seminar Held, Health Officials Review Telemedicine Services

On the occasion of World Malaria Day, a seminar and public awareness programme was organised at the Civil Surgeon’s office auditorium under the chairmanship of Dr. Swaraj, In-charge Civil Surgeon and District Tuberculosis Officer. The initiative focused on raising awareness about mosquito-borne diseases and encouraging preventive health practices among the public.

Highlighting this year’s theme, “Driven to End Malaria: Now We Can. Now We Must,” Dr. Swaraj stressed that strong public awareness is essential to prevent vector-borne diseases and achieve malaria elimination.

In the second phase of the programme, a review meeting on eSanjeevani telemedicine services was conducted jointly by Dr. Swaraj and Dr. Tulika Rani, District Leprosy Officer and Nodal Officer (Non-Communicable Diseases). The meeting assessed the performance of registered doctors, addressed technical and operational challenges in tele-consultations, and emphasized increasing the number of remote consultations.

Several medical officers, including Dr. Shameem Akhtar, Dr. Jayshree Ragni, Dr. Aparajita, Dr. Ambika Kumari, Dr. Madan Kumar Mahto, Dr. Manita, Dr. Dilip Kumar, Dr. Manisha Kumari, Dr. Amit Anand, Vishal Tirkey, Dr. Pooja, Dr. Chetan Birendra Chaturvedi, Dr. Ritvik, Dr. P. N. Singh, and Dr. V. K. Singh, participated in the programme.

The event was successfully coordinated with contributions from district health officials and programme staff, including Pradeep Kumar Sinha (District Programme Manager), Dr. Pallavi Kaushal (Consultant, NPPCF), Sunil Kumar Madhukar (Regional Coordinator, IEC/BCC), Amod Kumar (DPA-NCD), Vimal Kumar Kesari (DPMU Coordinator), and Minhaj Ansari (MPW-cum-DEO).
